The idea for this series of books was sparked off by numerous people at Re-enactors Markets asking Jane Moulder where they could find music books giving tunes from different historical periods. Having bought reproductions of period instruments they were frustrated as they did not know where to go to find the appropriate music. These books have been designed to give playesr an introduction to the music and instruments of each period. Hopefully they will inspire people to seek out more tunes.
